Beloit Memorial High School Hands-On Learning

In January of 2025, Beloit Memorial High School FACT focused on preparing its members for future presentations by providing them with hands-on learning experiences. As part of the preparation, FACT members had the opportunity to see and touch pig lungs, giving them a powerful visual representations of the harmful effects of smoking and nicotine on the lungs. This experience is part of the group's ongoing efforts to equip members with the skills needed to educate their peers aout the dangers of tobacco and vaping through impactful presentations.

This hands-on activity was not only educational, but also served as an essential step in helping members develop public speaking and presentation skills that will be crucial for future FACTivism efforts. The skills learned through these activities will have a lasting impact on the FACT members as they prepare for future presentations in the school and community. With their newfound knowledge and confidence, the Beloit Memorial High School FACT group is ready to engage and educate others, empoering their peers to make healthier decisions and raise awareness about the dangers of smoking and nicotine use.
