Beloit Memorial 12 Days of FACTmas

In December of 2024 the Beloit Memorial High School FACT group participated in 12 Days of FACTmas, spreading awareness about the dangers of tobacco and vaping through daily facts and creative visuals. Over the course of twelve days in the month of December over the morning announcements, facts were shared such as "On the 4th day of FACTmas, tobacco gave me 480,000 deaths in the US each year from cigarette smoking." This campaign also included informative posters displayed in the hallways, allowing students to read the powerful facts as they moved between classes. These initiaitives are a significant part of ongoing efforts to combat tobacco use and raise awareness about the impact of smoking on public health.

The 12 Days of FACTmas is in the tune of the traditional carol and can be shared in a variety of ways. Each day, one through twelve, features a fact that includes that number for the day. These can be shared on announcements or through song. Groups have also created custom posters or social media posts for each of the twelve days. This is a great opportunity to share resources about the dangers of tobacco and vaping. By continuing to educate and engage others, FACT groups like Beloit Memorial High School stay dedicayted to making a lasting difference.
